By the order of Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation No. 445 dated May 11, 2022, the scientific specialty 1.3.21 - Medical physics (physical & mathematical and technical sciences) was included in the nomenclature of scientific specialties for which academic degrees are awarded in our country. We congratulate all the country's medical physicists on this long-awaited event, as well as the entire initiative group of organizers of this process (including our laboratory), who finally managed to "break through" this issue after many years of unsuccessful attempts!

Because of the reorganization of our laboratory, we are closing our scientific direction on the study of the biological danger of nanoparticles and their effect on the brain and behavior of animals. We have been studying this problem for about 15 years and have obtained a rich, good and substantiated scientific result, which is summarized in our latest publications and reviews on this topic. In the nearest future, before the end of the year, this result will be presented in the relevant section of our website.

In mid-February, at the scientific seminar of the Russian Association of Artificial Intelligence (RAAI), a report by the head of Laboratory Dmitry Rogatkin on the topic "Is the artificial (or natural?) consciousness in a technical intellectual system possible?" took place. Beresten an extended meeting was held with representatives of JSC "Yelatma Instrument Making Enterprise" (JSC ELAMED) on issues of further scientific and technical cooperation. A new agreement on scientific and technical cooperation (STC) for 2022-2024 was signed.
